Electric Dreams at Infest 2016…

Toronto based musician Michael Morton got his start on Mute Records in 2003 before releasing numerous albums on legendary labels including France’s M-Tronic Records and the USA’s Tympanik Audio.

He has remixed the likes of Claire Voyant, Architect, Converter, Beefcake & Monstrum Sepsis.

Michael’s work ranges from the classic “The Witching Hour”, a beautiful and emotionally poignant piece of music with classic horror movie samples, crackling analog records, chilling atmospheres and trip-hop beats, to “Electric Dreams” featuring an onslaught of android voices mixed with potent beats, creating a dark, moody and dystopian take on maximalist electronica.

Unmatched by anyone else in the IDM landscape

Morton takes a complete and utter delight from combining synths, vocals and live drumming to rescue IDM from its solipsistic focus on conceptual electronica. This promises to be very special!
