Emerging from the wastelands left by the coal industry in Gippsland, Australia. Noisome is helmed by electronic music producer and engineer Robin W. Marsh. Noisome uses a detailed understanding of synthesis and sound design to create techno and breakcore tracks that artfully blends the rawness of noise and post-industrial genres, the culmination of which results in a unique sound that is truly idiosyncratic to the project.
Robin’s background was in drums and programming for post-industrial band Kollaps, being present for three releases, he toured Europe extensively during 2017 and 2018 during which time he performed alongside acts such as Operant, Hide, Youth Code, Trepaneringsritualen and Brighter Death Now while also making an appearance at the iconic Wroclaw Industrial Festival in Poland.
In 2021, Noisome signed to Manchester electronic label Drøne for the debut release of the ‘Darkest Days’ EP which is due for cassette release in July. Mixed by Tyler James Burrows (Ptwiggs, Sweet Hart) and mastered by Alain Paul (Paula Temple, Phase Fatale, Tommy Four Seven). Darkest Days is a social critique that confronts the listener both thematically and sonically, and cements the project as a new and uncompromising force in electronic music.
