MOAAN EXIS is Mathieu on vox, programming, synth and percussion, joined live on drums by Xavier, his co-conspirator. A duo of machines, with vocal and drum oriented industrial, techno and hardcore, with cinematic, tribal and experimental sounds.
Since its beginnings, MOAAN EXIS explores genres and integrates them into something that can not so easily be defined. Early in 2015 where he recorded his self-titled EP. The project signed to Industrial Strength Records to release his EP, but it was the move to Audiotrauma that he became exposed to a wider audience.

Near the end of 2017 MOAAN EXIS released his debut full length album Transcendence. MOAAN EXIS is the type of artist who combines his techno rhythms with experimental industrial style. Metallic clashes mix and mash with gritty synths. MOAAN EXIS is not afraid to rewire samples to create similar sounds for a new beat.

A French composer who first started in 2K15, MOAAN EXIS mixes industrial sounds with everything from techno to film scores. From the hardcore electro scene and inspired from his music experience with contemporary dancers, his tracks spread powerful bass and ecstatic vibrations.
An Aural Melancholy with the Violence of Catastrophe
It’s hard to define the real style of MOAAN EXIS, but that’s what makes them special. There is of course a clear industrial-techno undercurrent, but you’ll also notice dynamic breakbeats, trance influences and ambient passages which the band defines as ‘cinematic atmosphere’.
An original sound, fusing different music genres resulting in a heavy and powerful production. It’s raw power sometimes leading into trance and empowered by breakbeats on other cuts. It’s pure crossover, moving from heavy cuts towards ambient-like compositions.
