Infest 2021: Response to the latest government announcement (14 June)

Given the UK government announcement today regarding lockdown easing, and the continuation of restrictions for four more weeks after the initially proposed 21st June (now until 19th July) we continue to find ourselves in a state of uncertainty.

Still in limbo.

We had hoped to have a clearer picture with definitive guidance on the return of live events, but unfortunately this is not the case. As a result we are still unable to make any firm plans regarding this year’s event over the August Bank Holiday.

Unable to make firm plans.

Although nothing is definite yet, we think it is unlikely that we’ll be able to run a multi day, indoor event with international artists and DJs this August.

Indeed we have been contacted by a number of our proposed international acts who have concerns about being able to attend this year, due to the possibility of travel restrictions, quarantine requirements and vaccination delays in some countries.

We haven’t given up all hope however, and will continue to consider the possibility of running a live event of some sort, if it is safe and feasible to do so.

If we can run an event we will.

We appreciate that this is a trying time for everyone, and we want to thank you all for your continued support.

If we can run an event we will, and we really hope to see you in Bradford this August.

In the mean time, stay safe and keep in touch.
