Following a public statement shared online on Tuesday 5 May by a former attendee regarding their past relationship with an artist booked for Infest 2026, we acknowledge the seriousness of the allegations that have been made and the impact discussions of this nature can have within our community.
As outlined in our previous statement of 29 January 2026, we have made detailed enquiries with the parties involved, relevant organisations, and the police. Based on the information available to us, including Subject Access Requests provided by the parties involved, there remains no record of any official police follow-up investigation, cautions, charges, convictions, or additional reports or actions.
We recognise that allegations of this nature, including those involving emotional, verbal, or coercive control, can be distressing and complex, and may not always be reflected in formal records or legal outcomes. However, as an organisation, we must base decisions on information that can be substantiated and assessed fairly, within the limits of what we are able to access.
As stated previously, if any individual has information or evidence that has not yet been reported, we strongly encourage this to be shared with the police, where it can be properly recorded and investigated. We will continue to keep this matter under review and will reassess our position should any new information come to light.
Infest has worked for decades creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment, and we continue to take our duty of care extremely seriously. The Infest team is always available in advance of and at the event itself, if anyone has any concerns.
We refute claims that Infest is an unsafe event, or that we are creating an unsafe environment for anybody attending the event. The safety and wellbeing of our attendees remains a priority.
