Debute album due in 2024
French dark electronic and coldwave act Divine Shade has revealed a new single, titled “Heaven,” as the second offering from the forthcoming 2024 album. Following up on the 2020 In the Dust EP, Fragments Vol.1 sees founder Ren Toner taking Divine Shade into more darkwave territory to explore varying concepts of resilience, reestablishing self-esteem, love, identification with nature, and resilience against one’s own self defense mechanisms. “Heaven” follows the October release of the “Oublier” single, which featured Gary Numan guitarist Steve Fox-Harris; 2022 saw Divine Shade serving as the support act for the new wave and industrial/rock legend on a U.K. tour. Due for release in April of 2024, Fragments Vol.1 was originally crowdfunded via Helloasso, successfully earning 153% of its goal. “Heaven” is now available digitally via Bandcamp.
